Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia - future directions for improved outcomes
Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia remains a significant clinical challenge with substantial morbidity and mortality worldwide. This session will explore future directions for improving patient outcomes through three complementary perspectives.
We will examine current evidence on treatment strategies and clinical outcomes, address key aspects of resistance determination of penicillin susceptibility and learn more about blaZ enzyme variants, and present insights from the Swedish healthcare context. By integrating international expertise with local experience, this session aims to identify opportunities for optimizing management strategies, enhancing diagnostic approaches, and ultimately improving outcomes for patients with S. aureus bacteremia.
